megaLab 2025

Equality and Diversity in the Workplace

What does a fair working world look like? For whom is there room, and for whom not? For the 2025 edition of megaLab, we will look together with young people at equality and diversity at work — and how everyone, whatever their gender or life situation, can have a fair chance to develop.

In interactive workshops, we will examine among others:

  • Biases in hiring or promotions

  • Unequal pay relationships

  • Work–life balance

  • Genderrole-stereotypes and male/female professions

  • Career orientation and new opportunities

The goal is to give young people concrete knowledge and chances for reflection so that they can imagine their professional future consciously and inclusively.

The new megaLab 2025 on 20 and 21 November offers a platform to actively engage in workshops, ask questions and exchange opinions, and to look forward together.

Rock de rack 2024

Equality & STEAM

The Rock de Rack 2024 focused on the theme of equality and STEAM and took place on October 24 and 25 at Kinepolis Kirchberg.
As in previous years, the registered classes could once again choose from a range of thematic workshops that appealed to them the most.

What was new in the 2024 edition was that, in addition to secondary school classes, which could register for October 24, Cycle 4 primary school classes were also able to register — for October 25.

ROCK DE RACK 2023

Inequalities in Sport (2023)

The Rock de Rack 2023 — under the theme of inequalities in sports — was a great success!

With over 450 students and accompanying teachers, this edition was not only the most attended so far, but also offered a record number of 13 different workshops, more than ever before!

Here you can get a glimpse of Rock de Rack 2023 and its various workshops:

Sexism and Stereotypes in the Media (2022)

On October 27 and 28, 2022, Taina Bofferding, Minister for Equality, invited participants to the third edition of the Rock de Rack.

More than 350 young people, together with their teachers and supervisors, were able to take part in a wide variety of workshops.

Each group could choose two workshops from a total of nine different options.
Afterwards, they watched the film “Misbehaviour”, which was very well received, before having the opportunity to express their thoughts and daily concerns on the topics of sexism, discrimination, and equality during the “Rock de Krees” discussion session.

Here you can find a few highlights from the day:

CONCEPT

An experience for every participant, in a unique setting

Workshops

Each year, megaLab is held under a general theme — for example, sexism, sports, or the world of film.
Every year, and in line with the chosen theme, MEGA and its partners offer a varied selection of workshops from which the participating classes can choose.

Exchange

megaLab offers groups the opportunity to take part in three different workshops in one day.

Before, during, between, and after these workshops, the MEGA encourages exchange and interaction among all young participants.

Positive Environment

The goal is that, by the end of the day, every participant has had a positive experience — whether through a great atmosphere or through healthy refreshments.

This way, young people are better prepared to form their own thoughts and reflections on equality.

Rock de Krees v2.0

For the Rock de Krees, each class designates at least one person to act as a rapporteur, summarizing the conclusions drawn by their group.

Within this framework, of course, all other young participants, teachers, and supervisors are also welcome to share their thoughts and speak up.
